Janet Migdow, PhD is the director of Options Counseling in Evanston,Illinois. She maintains a consulting and clinical practice in the treatment of trauma and dissociation. For thirty-five years she has been the Co-director of the post-graduate Trauma Consultation Program training clinicians in the treatment of trauma. Masters level students are accepted to an initial two year program from which they can apply for admittance into an advanced ongoing clinical consultation group in traumatology. Advanced students are entitled to maintain their membership in their cohort throughout their careers.
Dr Migdow is the long-standing president of Illinois ISSTD which provides local, free monthly group consultation and training to therapists and public sector social service agencies working with trauma survivors exhibiting dissociation. She graduated with honors from the Institute for Clinical Social Work with a doctorate in psychodynamic relational treatment in 2010. For many years Janet was faculty for International Society for the Treatment of Trauma dn Dissociation's DDPTP training and a lecturer at ICSW, and Northeasten Univerisity.She has published numerous articles and been given the Peirre Janet and AAPCSW award sfor excellence in clinical writing. Janet is a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation and was awarded the Distingui8dhed Achievement Award by the society in 2017.
