Becky is a biracial, transracial adoptee whose ancestors are West African and Sicilian. She has been a trauma therapist for over 25 years helping those from diverse backgrounds and genders heal the wounds of relational trauma that occur though the life span. Becky graduated in 1999 with her Master's in Human Service Counseling from National Louis University. She is trained in Somatic Experiencing, Transformative Touch Therapy for the treatment of Developmental Trauma and in the Treatment of Complex Trauma and Dissociation through ISSTD. Becky is also currently being trained in Integral Somatic Psychology.

Becky's clinical work focuses on the somatic impact of the chronic and sustained experience of systemic racism and oppression. Integrating Decolonizing Methods in therapy is one of Becky's passions. Becky encourages the honoring of indigenous, ancestral, and cultural practices in addition to nurturing rest and healing within community. She is dedicated to empowering those who are oppressed to find embodied expression. Becky's model of trauma therapy includes somatic resourcing as means of tending the wounds associated with Racial Trauma, Complex Trauma and Dissociation, Sexual Trauma and Issues of Trauma and Loss in Adoption. Becky facilitates groups for both Male Survivors of Sexual Trauma, creating a safe and collaborative process for oppressed, shamed, and marginalized clients to gain a greater sense of embodied autonomy and agency.

Becky has presented for various community mental health agencies, therapy practices, and hospitals. She was the keynote speaker for the 2025 Endeavor Behavioral Health Trauma Symposium. Becky has presented on subjects such as Racialized Trauma, Oppression, Decolonizing Therapy, Grief, Anger, and Treating Male Survivors of Sexual Trauma. Becky's presentations focus on somatic impact of trauma, dissociative elements, and embodied relational healing.
