Sarah Chipps, PsyD is a licensed psychologist (NY 20206, CA 33600, CO 4865) and cofounder of Well Behavioral Health, an outpatient ecosystem of group and individual care offerings specializing in the healing of eating disorders, trauma, and dissociative disorders.
She earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco. Since 2008, she has had the privilege to work with people of diverse identities and histories, in a variety of settings including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient care. She has contributed to research through involvment in the Purdue study on the outpatient group delivery of the Finding Solid Ground program. Dr. Chipps is passionate about increasing access to compassionate, trauma-informed, and affirming systems of care for individuals navigating severe and stigmatized mental health conditions.
Dr. Chipps has immense gratitude for the clients, mentors, and colleagues who have contributed to her understanding of the complexities of trauma, dissociation, and recovery who continue to challenge and expand her thinking with their wisdom, honesty, and resilience.
Dr. Chipps is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR, and Comprehensive Resource Model. All of which inform her integrative and relational approach. She presents regularly on topics related to trauma, dissociative disorder, and eating disorder treatment.
When she is not working, Dr. Chipps can often be found surrounded by her six beloved cats (five tuxedos and one calico), who remind her daily of the importance of curiosity, patience, connection, and play while she’s listening to true crime podcasts.
